Two Local Reps Vote For Bailout, One Votes Against

Two local representatives voted for the failed government bailout plan, while another local representative voted against it.Rep. John Murtha, who represents the 12th District, and 5th District Rep. John Peterson voted in support of the plan.Congressman Bill Shuster, of the 9th District, voted against it.

In a written statement, Shuster said his "primary responsibility has always been to protect the interests of the people who entrust me to represent them in Congress. Inaction has never been an option, but the plan proposed by Treasury Secretary Paulson should have never been the only option.
