A Duncansville man convicted this summer of sexually assaulting a boy and taking pornographic pictures of him was sentenced to 27 to 54 years in jail.

Officials said 47-year-old Robert Rothwell befriended the 12-year-old victim and visited him at a rehabilitation center where the boy was receiving treatment.

The Blair County district attorney argued Rothwell is a danger to society, but Rothwell was not ruled a sexually violent predator.
