CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. -- It was the hockey joke heard around the nation, as Republican vice presidential candidate Sara Palin compared hockey moms to pit bulls with lipstick. Her down to earth attitude has won her a lot of supporters, but the true test comes Thursday night as she takes on Sen. Joe Biden, her Democratic rival. After what some critics called a disastrous interview with CBS's Katie Couric, Palin could have some ground to make up with voters. Palin, a self-proclaimed hockey mom, scored big a lot of families after the Republican convention.WJAC stopped by Planet Ice in Richland Township to find out what other hockey parents think about Palin and what they hope to hear from her."I am concerned about the people we have overseas," said hockey mom Sandra Wirfel. "It's a war that is not going to end tomorrow and I want to hear more on her views on the war in Iraq."The debate starts at 9 p.m on WJAC TV.
