ARMAGH, Pa. -- An ordinance to limit where sexually violent predators can live in one community has been on the fast track in Indiana County.East Wheatfield township officials said the draft ordinance is everything they can do legally to keep residents safe. Township officials also plan to hire a codes enforcement officer to make sure that once it's passed, the ordinance is enforced. Residents are also starting a community crime watch and they've changed trick or treating to daylight hours for local kids. The ordinance was prompted when a sexually violent predator moved in nearby. On Friday, Lauren Melvin sat down with Richard Vavro, one-on-one, to hear what he had to say about all of the actions taken to deter people like him from moving into their community.
