Pa. Lawmakers Say State Could Face Massive Deficit

Two senior state lawmakers said the deteriorating U.S economy could put Pennsylvania $2.5 billion in debt by 2010.State Sens. Vincent Fumo and Gibson Armstrong said Monday if action isn't taken to address the problems, then Pennsylvania will face a massive deficit.Both senators said they don't see a way out of the problem without raising taxes, but Republican state Sen. Jake Corman said he believes the focus should be on spending cuts.
