Troutville Looking For Election Board Volunteers

Wednesday, October 8, 2008 – updated: 9:07 pm EDT October 8, 2008

Clearfield County officials are trying to fill four seats on the Troutville election board.

The county commissioners discussed the issue at a Tuesday meeting.

They still aren't sure what to do about the vacancies.

"We understand working Election Day makes for a long day," said Commissioner John Sobel. "But we'd appreciate any volunteers."

Sobel added that the county may have look into other options.

"We may have to get election boards in nearby municipalities involved," he said.

Election officials said the vacancies were surprising, due to the importance of the presidential election.
