GOP Will Have To Pay For Extra Security At Palin Event

More security is needed for Governor Sarah Palin's rally in Johnstown on Saturday. They city says it can't afford to foot the bill so the Republican Party will have to pay.

Only a couple of officers are needed for the rally on Saturday.

The GOP will only have to pay about $300, but party officials say they want to be treated fairly.

Both Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama came to the area in the spring. Both were sent a bill from the city but neither have paid up.

The issue was brought up in the city council meetings last night. Some members say it's not fair because the Democrats did not pay in the past. However, it is not really a party issue because four years ago President George W. Bush did not pay either.

The city of Johnstown is just tired of being short changed and wants political campaigns to pay up.
