Race Driver Faces Charges Over Bumping Rival's Car

A race car driver is facing criminal charges over an incident that took place last weekend at Challenger Speedway.

Indiana County police said a driver angry over being “bumped” by another car sped down the track in the wrong direction. He is accused of intentionally hitting the other car and knocking it into a track official.

The official is continuing to recover from his injuries in a Pittsburgh Hospital.

Police said the driver will face several charges including aggravated assault.
