Demolition Delayed For House Filled With Feces, Trash

A last-minute injunction has delayed Monday’s scheduled demolition of a Cambria County home that was filled with animal feces and trash.Portage Township officials have been fighting for two years to tear down the Parks family home on Route 164 after a state dog warden found 40 dogs and feces piled about a foot high in the house.Trash was also stacked up to the ceiling, officials said.Family members said they have since made some repairs and want to save the house.A new court date on the matter had not been set as of Monday.
