SANDY TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A Clearfield County hotel closed Tuesday as workers staged a walkout over unpaid wages.

According to workers at the Clarion Inn, they've experienced payment problems over the last year.

They said, on the last payday, just a few people received checks.

Workers tell WJAC-TV News that several important bills have also gone unpaid, such as the water bill.

The Clarion Inn is owned by Kronos Hotels, located in Atlanta, Ga.

WJAC-TV tried to contact Kronos Hotels but was unable to reach company officials.

Workers said they hope someone will eventually buy the hotel.
