Police: Sex Assault Suspect Met Teen Through Internet Role-Playing Game

BEDFORD, Pa. -- An active sexual assault investigation in Bedford County is just another reminder for parents to keep an eye on their children.Bedford state police arrested Daniel Czelusniak, 24, of North Royalton, Ohio.They said he met a 14-year-old girl from Manns Choice over the Internet and traveled to have sex with her.Investigators said the two met four years ago while playing World of Warcraft on the Internet, an interactive role-playing game where players from all over the world can meet and strategize while playing with one another.Players will often start friendly relationships with one another. However, in the case of Czelusniak, he drove out to meet the teen back in March of 2008.State police tell WJACTV.com the two had sex numerous times in hotels as well as at the girl's home.Bedford County District Attorney Bill Higgins said he realizes it's difficult for parents to keep tabs on their children.
