Black and gold fans who showed up to see Steelers kicker Jeff Reed at the Castle Pub in Ebensburg on Friday Feb. 13 said he was late and visibly drunk."They were stumbling around. There was some slurred speech when Jeff got on the mic, so one would assume they were drinking before they came," said Leah Ropp.Marisa Slaventa said, "They said something about being at IUP before they came. They didn't know where that was and now they were in Ebensburg and ready to party."Slaventa and Ropp were among the 150 fans that paid an $8 cover to see Reed at the Castle Pub. Reed was reportedly refusing to sign autographs and only dancing and taking shots with girls at the bar. Many fans like Slaventa and Ropp left the bar disappointed."He was Jeff Reed the Pittsburgh Steeler who made an appearance at a bar, he should have been a little nicer to his fans," said Slaventa. The Castle Pub wasn't Reed's only stop of the night. He was arrested early the next morning at the Sheetz on Route 22 in New Alexandria. Police said Reed threw a tantrum over an empty paper towel machine inside the bathroom and swore and yelled at an employee. He pleaded guilty to charges of disorderly conduct.
