Man Arrested In Connection With Penn State Student's Death

One person is in custody after the body of a Penn State-Altoona student was found in the trunk of her car.

At a press conference Thursday, Pennsylvania state police said they believe 20-year-old Margo Davis, of Altoona, was slain.

Sean Louis Allen, 19, of Hollidaysburg, is being held without bond at the Blair County Jail in connection with Davis' death.

State police said Davis' cell phone led them to the arrest. Investigators also said they found other evidence in Allen's home that linked him to Davis, but they did not release details.

Davis' family reported her missing on Monday to Logan Township police. Police found her car Wednesday near the Country Club Terrace in Frankstown Township.

Logan Township notified state police because the area was not in the township's jurisdiction. The car was towed to an impound lot where officers found Davis' body in the trunk.

Police did not release how Davis died, and her body was taken to the Blair County Coroner's office. An autopsy is expected to take place Thursday.

Police did not say what Davis' relationship was to Allen. Allen was previously charged in November with felony criminal trespassing, misdemeanor loitering and prowling at night.

The Penn State Altoona Health and Wellness Center will hold special counseling sessions on Thursday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. and again from 8 to 10 p.m. in Room 103 of the Slep Student Center.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 814-696-6100.
