Posted: 2:49 pm EDT March 13, 2009Updated: 3:06 pm EDT April 6, 2009

Altoona Curve fans headed to "Baseball Bash" Friday night, where they had their first chance at lower ticket prices for this season.

The gates opened at 5 p.m., and several events were planned including an "Outstanding Fan" competition.

There was also free food and drinks, live entertainment, and college basketball on a wide-screen TV.

One fan said he was in it for the long haul.

"I came prepared. I wasn't sure if we were going to have any breaks or not, so I work in the health care field and I wore an adult diaper just in case I had any problems," said Bruce Legros, of Ebensburg.

The Baseball Bash ran until 8 p.m.
