Hundreds Show Up For Freedom Fest
While support has grown for the Blair County Tea Party, participants said they still have one clear message to send to lawmakers."We are not satisfied with the status quo in Washington," Natalie Sparks of Blair County said. "We don't appreciate the things that they're doing in the middle of the night and behind our backs."Sunday's rally was the group's second event. It has called it a grassroots effort to take a stand on the state of the economy. The meeting comes on the heels of Congress passing the Cap and Trade Bill and the deadlock over Pennsylvania's state budget. While the group works to form legally, it is also planning a trip to Washington, D.C., on Sept. 12 to meet with other tea party groups from around the country.
