Execution Delayed For Blair County Killer

An inmate from Blair County who asked the governor to sign his death warrant will have to wait a while longer for his death penalty.A federal judge in Pittsburgh issued a stay for for the Sept. 3 execution of 45-year-old William Wright III at the request of Wright's public defender.Wright was convicted of the 1988 shooting death of James Mowery, of Altoona.Earlier this year, Wright said he was tired of appeal delays and asked Gov. Ed Rendell to sign his death warrant.
