Atlantic Broadband Announce's Agreement For Penn State Fans
Penn State fans who don't go to the games will now be able to see the Nittany Lions on television.Officials from the Big Ten Network and Atlantic Broadband announced their new agreement Monday afternoon on the campus of Penn State Altoona.It comes just in time for football season.Starting Sept. 1 Atlantic Broadband customers can catch the Big Ten Network if they have valued or digital TV.Penn State football games will be offered exclusively on channel 66, and for HD customers, channel 766.A total of 350 live events are being promised by Big Ten Network officials, including Penn State soccer, baseball and basketball games.Atlantic Broadband officials said subscribers won't have to pay additional fees.Big Ten Network president Mark Silverman said the agreement is a multi-year agreement.The first three weeks of Penn State football games have been determined officially. They include a game against Akron, Sept 5; a game against Syracuse on Sept. 12; and a game against Temple on Sept. 19.
