BURNSIDE, Pa. -- The Irvin-Patchin House has seen the biggest booms and busts in Clearfield County history. The house was built around 1850 by one of Clearfield County's founders, William Irvin. The house saw the rise of the lumber and coal industries across the county. But it also was around when those industries crashed. The house is now a shell of what it once was, with broken windows, a collapsed roof and high grass around the property.Residents said many people have tried to renovate the historic house. But historical officials said if someone doesn't step up soon, the building could be lost forever.WJAC-TV talked with the owner of the Irvin-Patchin House. He said the house is in the process of being sold and the new owner plans to renovate it.WJAC-TV tried to contact the new owner but he could not be reached for comment.
