MT. UNION, Pa. -- Federal agents made nearly a dozen arrests in Huntingdon County Tuesday morning.District Attorney George Zanic said they've been keeping an eye on the complex since January when two women were shot dead in one of the homes.Zanic says the cases are not related, but the women's deaths lead them to the arrests. He said 11 people were arrested and taken to Harrisburg to be arraigned.Zanic said they're facing federal charges related to drug offenses and housing fraud.Offices arrested two others on separate warrants.Officials from the agencies believe more arrests will be made.Beatrice Daniels, 31, and her niece Christine McWhorter, 22, were found shot to death inside their apartment in the Federal Drive Housing Complex in January. Both had a single gunshot wound to the head. While no arrests have been made, folks who make their way in and out of the complex say the arrests area positive thing for the area."It's Section 8 property. Its designed to help people out who either have physical disabilities like my grandmother and people that just had something bad happened to them and they need an extra hand," Andy Bowers said. "Then you get these other people who live off their uncles, grandmothers, whatever the case may be then they come in and start poisoning our environment."Zanic and State Police are expected to release more information surrounding the raid Thursday.Stay with WJACTV.com for the latest surrounding this developing story.
