SOMERSET, Pa. -- Somerset Borough police said a woman walked into the 1st Summit Bank on Center Avenue and demanded money from the clerk around 3:15 p.m. Thursday.

First reports said she had a gun but police said it was never shown.

The woman fled the scene on foot running north on Center Avenue.

Police describe their suspect as a white female.

She was wearing a hooded jacket, blue jeans, tennis shoes and eyeglasses.

The suspect could face both state and federal charges.
