Somerset County First Responders Get Continuing Education

Posted: 12:34 pm EST November 13, 2009

First responders in Somerset County are sharpening their skills to better help area residents.

Emergency crews and health care professionals attended a conference Friday morning focusing on what to do during a trauma.

They reviewed the latest techniques in caring for critically injured patients, how to care for patients with limited resources and how new technology can help.

Dr. Lee Miller of Memorial Medical Center said it's important for emergency crews to continue their education every year to stay fresh on the job.
