Capital One Bowl At Media Day; Nittany Lions Ready To Take On LSU

Nittany Nation is buzzing with anticipation as the countdown to the Capital One Bowl in January begins. Reporters from across the state questioned Penn State football players about their anticipations of the game during Media Day in University Park Friday afternoon. When asked about the competition, linebacker Sean Lee told reporters that Louisiana State University will not be an easy opponent.

“We haven't beaten anybody in a Top 25 this year, so that's kind of a big thing, kind of a theme we've taken,” said Lee. “We have something to prove no matter what. LSU's going to be a great program. It's going to be a tough game, though.”

When the news first broke, quarterback Daryll Clark admits that he was a bit let down, but is now focusing on the upcoming brawl in the Sunshine State.

“There was a little disappointment about it, you know,” said Clark. “Obviously we didn't win enough or do a good enough job to be BCS worthy, but we're playing on New Year's against a really good football team down in Florida, so that's something to definitely be excited for.”

Millheim native Josh Hull told WJAC-TV’s Bill Wadell that he can’t wait to take on the LSU Tigers.

“Just growing up 30 minutes down the road, I've worked extremely hard and I've been extremely dedicated in my career at Penn State to get where I'm at this year,” said Hull. “It's going to mean a lot to myself, as well as the rest of the teammates, to really end this bowl game on the right foot.”

Hull says he plans on pursuing an NFL career following graduation in May.
