Laurel Crest's New Owner Begins Hiring Process

The new owner of the Laurel Crest Nursing Home in Cambria County has started its hiring process.Officials with Grane Healthcare said it's not planning a reduction in the workforce, but they did ask all employees to reapply for the job. They are also reviewing other applications to find the best employees, officials said.In the meantime, union leaders planned to hold a rally Wednesday afternoon, saying they want to ensure current workers still get the same medical benefits that they received while working at county employees.Stay with WJACTV.com and WJAC-TV News for continuing coverage.
