Pet Owner Wants Compensation For Sick Puppy

Quenna Curry of Cambria County wants compensation over her sick puppy bought from Dishong's Puppies.

Curry received the puppy as a gift in February and the yorkie puppy has been sick every since.

Curry said Dishong took advantage of her.

Dishong's owner Tom Dishong said he offered to take back the puppy and give her money back. Now that Curry is attached to the dog, she doesn't want to give her up. Instead she wants to be paid for the veterinary bills.

Dishong said they took the puppy back for eight days and nursed it back to health and then the Curry family took their Yorkie back when it was better.

There is a law in Pennsylvanian if a dog is sick or dies within 10 days of purchase, pet owners can take the animal back. There must be proof of veterinary visits.

In this case, Dishong's Puppies is given an F rating for three complaints in the last 36 months, including guarantee issues, product issues and refund or exchange issues.

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement did give Dishong's Puppies satisfactory marks on their inspection. And said in their report, "All dogs appeared to be healthy and content."
