They won the bid on the defense contract and now a Somerset County company -- might be able to use your help -- to fill one of their new 65 employee positions.
It wasn't easy for Kuchera Defense systems in Windber to win the bid because they competed against companies nationwide. However -- now more staff is needed -- and management is saying -- let the hiring begin.
Kuchera Defense Systems employs over 300 people -- many who help make circuit cards which are used to guide bombs. The company plans to generate 40 million dollars in revenue -- but to do that -- they need extra hands.
Bill Kuchera, CEO says, "We'll start with entry level positions to engineers to everyone in between."
Once the circuit cards are made in Windber -- they'll be shipped to Raytheon -- an Arizona company whose Kurchera's partner. Once there -- they'll install them into missiles.
Kuchera says, "We compete for this business all over the US. It's not just in the 9th district and we won it."
If you're interested in applying for an engineering or entry level position -- Kuchera will be taking applications over the next month. Here's the contact info. The address is 345 Hillside Drive in Windber... 15963. And their number is (814) 467-9060.
