Rally In Honor Of Slain Trooper
He was a Pennsylvania State Trooper gunned down in the line of duty. And Saturday some of his fellow officers are honoring him by helping another family. Hundreds of motorcyclists roared their way into Richland Township taking part in the Trooper Joseph Sepp Memorial Poker Run. Trooper Sepp was shot and killed in the line of duty in Ebensburg in November of 2002. He was assisting other officers who were involved in a slow-speed police chase. The event was organized by Pennsylvania Road Dogs, a motorcycle club made up of law enforcement. "It's a great honor," said Sepp's widow Jenny. "I'm thankful for all of the support and love. I'm grateful for it. About 4-thousand dollars was raised from the event. All that money will go to the family of another state trooper who died this year in a traffic accident while on duty.
