Local Bank Issues Spam Warning
A local bank warns that some customers may be the victims of an e-mail scam.First National Bank has posted a message on its website saying someone sent email to some customers stating that an FNB account had been disabled. The email then asked recipients to click a link. That link took them to a site which looked like the FNB site, which prompted them for account numbers. The bank urges customers to always enter its website directly rather than click on a link in an email.Bank officials aren't sure how many people received the fraudulent email or how many responded.
