Execution Of "Kill-For-Thrill" Murderer Set

A date has been set for the execution of a Clearfield County man convicted of killing four people in a chilling cross-state murder spree 11 years ago.

Gov. Ed Rendell on Tuesday signed execution warrants for two men, including 35-year-old Mark Spotz.

Spotz is scheduled to die by lethal injection on July 25.

Spotz was found guilty of murdering four people in a matter of several days during a "kill-for-thrill" spree in 1995.

The Supreme Court recently rejected his appeal.
