The stalemate continued Wednesday between the owners of a 19-year-old dog and an animal rights advocate who said she kidnapped the animal in the interest of saving it.Tammy Grimes, of the organization Dogs Deserve Better, said she received a call that Steve and Laurie Arnold's dog "Doogie" was being neglected.Grimes took the dog from the Arnolds' home and has refused to disclose where he is being kept. The Arnolds said Doogie is their pet and Grimes has no right to steal him."I say she come on my property and took my dog. All I want is my dog back," Steve Arnold said.Grimes, who has been charged with criminal trespassing and theft, said she would do it all over again."I had to make a decision on what was ethically and morally right. And I will stand by my decision. That dog didn't deserve to lie there dying," Grimes said.Stay with Channel 6 News for continuing coverage.
