Like many celeb moms before her, Jessica Simpson is cashing in on the much-anticipated first photos of her new bundle of joy. Less than a month after giving birth to daughter Maxwell Drew on May 1, the 31-year-old singer secured a deal with People magazine for ar eported $800,000.

Little Maxwell makes her cover girl debut in the June 11 issue, currently on newsstands. In addition to exclusive images of the newborn, the spread features an interview with Jessica and fiancé, NFL player Eric Johnson. 

Although it was a long and difficult pregnancy (Jessica delivered the 9-pound, 13-ounce baby via C-section almost two weeks after her due date), she says it was all worth it. "We stare at her all the time. We can't get enough!" she gushed. 

Jessica is also discovering that being a mom is a full-time job. "From how I sleep to what I think about, Maxwell has definitely taken over everything!" she revealed.

With her bundle of joy being such a handful, will she find time to lose the baby weight? After all, there's $3 million on the line!
