DEAN TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- The seach for a missing Blair County man came to a tragic end late Tuesday night, after his body and motorcycle were found off of roadway in Cambria County.

Jammie Lee Hauser, 42, of Altoona, was missing since Saturday morning when he left his home on his motorcycle, police said. His body and motorcycle were found in a wooded area off of Route 53 in Dean Township, near Ashville, just after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

State police investigators at the Ebensburg barracks said Hauser was speeding on Route 53 and lost control while making a turn. He then hit a telephone pole and a tree. His motorcycle went airborne and Hauser was thrown off of his bike.

The Cambria County coroner's office was also assisting with the investigation.

There was no immediate information available about when the crash happened, or how long Hauser may have been along the side of the roadway.

Additional details were expected to be released by authorities Wednesday.

Altoona police were concerned for Hauser's wellbeing and asked for the public's help to find  him.
