ST. MARYS, Pa. -- The American Red Cross Service Center will be moving from its current location in Elk County beginning Tuesday, but will remain open to assist those who were affected by last week's flooding.
Red Cross officials said the service center in Ridgway will close at the end of business Monday and reopen Tuesday in St. Marys. Caseworkers will remain available to assist those needing help from the flood damage.
Beginning Tuesday, the center will be at the Red Cross office at 808 S. Michael St. in St. Marys. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
For more information on the move, residents can call the St. Marys office at 814-834-2915.
Officials said the Red Cross assisted 45 residents with flood damage to date at the service center at the Ridgway Central Fire Station.
Anyone wishing to help with the recovery efforts can make contributions to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief fund. They can be sent to their St. Marys address or made online.
Donations to the relief fund help provide food, water, cleanup supplies, mental health services and other recovery support.
