STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Two Centre County men are in prison for allegedly breaking into homes while people were sleeping inside, according to police.

State College police arrested Nathaniel Durkin, 25, and Gabriel Allegar, 20, for the alleged break-ins that happened between 3 and 4 a.m. Friday.

Police said the two men, who were covered in blood, kicked in a door at a home in the 200 block of Nittany Avenue and threatened the people inside.

The men then went to a second home on Locust Lane, broke inside, and locked themselves in a bathroom in an attempt to hide, police said.

Both men were arrested and faces burglary, criminal trespass and other charges, police said.

Police said the two were involved in a fight earlier in the evening.
