ONEIDA TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- It took approximately three hours to extinguish flames at a Huntingdon County house on Sunday.

Huntingdon Regional Fire Company Chief Gary Garner said the fire started in a wood burning stove at about 4 a.m. Sunday and spread to the rest of the house on Saint Brigid Lane in Oneida Township.

The family was displaced from the fire, Garner said, but they were able to get out of the home with no reported injuries.

Crews were able to salvage some items from the basement.

A total of six fire companies responded to the fire, with two on standby.

A state police fire marshal was expected to investigate.
