Fire in Jefferson Co. destroys two cars and garage

BROOKVILLE, Pa. -- A garage was a complete loss after a fire broke out on the 40 block of Erma Circle in Brookville, Jefferson County, Sunday.
Jim Lipuma, fire chief of the Brookville Volunteer Fire Company, said the owner of the garage was welding when something took off and the fire extended into the garage.
When crews arrived on the scene the garage was fully engulfed in flames.
Crews were able to have the fire under control in 11 minutes and were on the scene for about two hours.
Two cars that were parked in the driveway were damaged from the blaze.
The garage owner's home was also damaged in the fire and the siding on a neighbor's home melted due to the heat from the flames.
There were no reported injuries.
The fire was ruled accidental.
