STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Officials with the region's largest Fourth of July celebration are looking for heroes to be part of their annual event.

Organizers with 4th Fest are looking for people to participate in the annual parade. This year's theme is "America's Got Heroes," and it's to be a celebration of ordinary people who've done something extraordinary.

4th Fest Vice President Pat Knoblach said heroes can be just about anyone, from military members, to veterans, to community volunteers, to teachers, to emergency responders. They're people who have made an impact in any capacity.

"America's got heroes on every street, in every neighborhood, and has people who do things that are what we should be talking about," Knoblach said.

Nominated heroes will be able to ride in the 4th Fest parade, but entries must be submitted by Saturday. Click here to make a hero submission.
