ALTOONA, Pa. -- One man venturing across the country to raise money and awareness for troops who sacrificed themselves for freedom, started his endeavor.

All of the money raised from the trip will go directly towards the Wounded Warriors Project which is aimed at helping injured service members.

Ivan Stoltfus started his trip in New Jersey and hopes to end in California.

Riding a 1948 John Deere with a cab on the back, staying in parking lots, shows his dedication of the cross country trip is special.

Our 6 News crews were able to talk to him as he made a stop in our coverage area.

Stoltfus currently is in Altoona and will travel to the Quaker Steak and Lube before he drives to the Flight 93 memorial in Somerset, Friday.
