WINDBER, Pa. -- State Police filed new charges against the man accused of killing his pregnant live-in girlfriend at their Somerset County home Friday.

According to a new criminal complaint, Denver Blough is charged with two counts of criminal homicide for the death of Caressa Kovalcik and the couple's second child, Abrianna Kovalcik.

Caressa Kovalcik was taken to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center after the shooting on May 31.

Her daughter, Abrianna, was delivered via cesarean and flown to Children's Hospital to be put on life support.

Abrianna passed away June 20.

The Somerset County District Attorney's Office and State Police said in a release on June 20 they would address Blough's charges once Abrianna's autopsy was complete.

Preliminary autopsy results were releaased last week by the Cambria County Coroner's Office.

Chief Deputy Coroner Jeffrey Lees said Abrianna's death is directly related to Caressa Kovalcik's death.

Blough is charged with two counts of criminal homicide, one count of criminal attempted homicide, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of simple assault and one count of recklessly endangering another person in the death of Caressa Kovalcik and Abrianna.
