1 killed when car collides with garbage truck in Altoona

ALTOONA, Pa. —

One person was killed when a car collided with a garbage truck at a busy intersection in Altoona.

According to WRTA Radio, Blair County Coroner Patty Ross has identified the victim as 21-year-old Jordan Graham, who was the driver of the car.

The crash happened around 4 a.m. Friday at 17th Street and Sixth Avenue in the city. WRTA reported the car was going the wrong way on Sixth Avenue at the time of the collision.

The crash blocked traffic in the area for several hours. After the scene was cleared, the road remained closed for accident reconstruction.

The driver of the garbage truck was not seriously injured.
