PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. --
A local 10-year-old girl recently celebrated her birthday by giving her gifts to other children.
According to The Associated Press, Taegan Ludwig said she felt it would be "greedy" to receive gifts at her birthday party on Nov. 19.
Instead, she asked her guests to donate any gifts they planned to bring to Toys for Tots, a charity that provides Christmas gifts for needy children.
"Instead of receiving gifts for myself, I decided to give gifts to others," she said.
The 36 donated gifts included dolls, stuffed animals and books.
