BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. —

A city fire inspector has ruled two recent fires in Altoona as arsons.

One arson was set late Sunday along 18th Street. A commercial building was destroyed as were three vehicles inside the structure. Officials said the building is unstable and will likely have to be torn down.

The second arson happened overnight Wednesday at a building along 31st Street. That structure housed a television repair shop.

Investigators told the Altoona Mirror that at this point they have no reason to believe the two arsons are connected.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
