SHADE TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

Police say a minivan carrying seven people ran off the road in Somerset County, killing a pregnant woman, another woman and a baby on Sunday.

Authorities said four other people -- two men and two babies -- were also injured when the van overturned shortly before 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Somerset County Coroner Wallace Miller said 28-year-old driver Holly Allison, of New Derry, and 26-year-old Cory Brown, of Fishertown, were killed in the crash. Officials said Allison was seven months pregnant.

A 1-year-old baby also died after being airlifted to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Police said the baby was in an unrestrained car seat. Both the baby and the women were ejected from the van, police said.

Investigators said the van was not legally registered, and all four tires were bald. Officials said a tire blowout may have caused the crash. The minivan hit a utility pole and rolled at least two times on Route 30 in Somerset County.

Police said two men inside the minivan are being treated for minor injuries. Police said a 3-month-old and 17-month-old were restrained but were also injured.
