3 Charged With Robbing Centre County Restaurant Worker

After weeks of investigating, three men have been arrested on charges they attacked and robbed a fast food worker earlier this month.

Jason Hampton, of Spring Mills; Gregory Johnson, of State College; and Jason Gerzsenyi, of Pennsylvania Furnace, were arrested Tuesday afternoon.

Patton Township police said two of the men beat a worker as he was locking up the Kentucky Fried Chicken on North Atherton on Dec. 6. Police said the trio stole the worker's wallet and cell phone then slashed his tires before taking off. The next day, the men used the victim's credit cards at a nearby Walmart, where they and their getaway car were caught on security cameras.

According to an affidavit, Gerzsenyi is a former KFC employee who thought that a worker closing shop would have the night deposit in hand, but the deposit had already been taken to the bank by another worker.
