SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. —

Three Conemaugh Township Area School District wrestling coaches remain suspended due to personnel issues.

Four coaches were initially suspended, but district officials said they could not comment on personnel issues and the reason for their suspensions was not released. One coach – Jarod Feathers – has returned to his position as the Indians' head coach.

"Sadly, as the Board of Directors, we're bound by law policy and inability to disclose certain information related to district personnel," said David Strayer, secretary of the Conemaugh Township School Board.

The suspensions followed a weekend wrestling tournament in Weirton, W. Va. A detective with Weirton Police Department confirmed with 6 News that a juvenile petition was filed last week regarding an incident at a hotel. But because juveniles are involved, the nature of the case was not disclosed.

With the absence of the coaches in the middle a season, parents and supporters of the wrestlers said they are standing behind those on the mat. Parents at a meeting Tuesday night said wrestling is more than a sport and described it as a family. They invited the school board to this weekend's district match to show support.
