BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. --
After an 8-month investigation, 44 suspected drug dealers were charged Friday morning in Blair County.
Investigators said the suspects were selling marijuana, cocaine, heroin and highly addictive prescription painkillers.
In recent months, undercover agents made a number of controlled buys and gathered information to target some upper-level suspected dealers.
Investigators said the Altoona area remains a huge target for drug suppliers because demand there is high.
Blair County District Attorney Richard Consiglio said two of the suspects, a man and his daughter, made drug dealing a family affair.
Investigators said Blair County's Push Out The Pushers hotline played a major role in Friday's arrests.
