A Bedford County Church Surprises A Disabled Man

Some Bedford County churchgoers pulled together to show a resident who can't speak or hear- how truly special he is.

Hyndman Ministries surprised 22-year-old Tony Imler Jr. with a brand new Nissan Fronteer truck because Tony's current truck has 2-hundred thousand miles on it and it's broken down.

Tony junior is deaf and mute with other medical conditions as well. He couldn't tell us of his joy today, but you could certainly see it in is face.

Tony’s father said, “He was born with a rare syndrome had several other problems all of his bones are crooked but everybody got to know him he's everybody's best friend.”

More than 18 thousand dollars was raised to buy the new truck. Most of money came from the church but several others and businesses in the community contributed too.
