JOHNSTOWN, Pa. —
Instead of using the usual sanctuary, they decided to take over their Sunday school room.
The Rev. James Smelley said they have about 90 people in their congregation and they don't have the money to heat such a huge room, which has high ceilings.
This is their third winter in the smaller room and most people are starting to like the more informal environment.
Smelley said they hope to grow the congregation so one day they can move back into the sanctuary.
