Access Road Being Built Around Unsafe Bridge

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. —

The Tremont Road Bridge in Cambria County is the only way in and out of a Lower Yoder Township neighborhood.

The bridge used to be able to handle 15 tons, but now experts say that with bad beams underneath, it can only take about 3 tons.

Township officials have started to build an access road so fire trucks and other emergency vehicles can get through.
