Accused Family Drug Ring Taken Down

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. —

Three accused family run drug rings have been taken down in one month.

The Cambria County Drug Task Force is sending out a message that they just will not rest.

The leaders of the Prave family have been in trouble before.

Police said this time they are taking other members of their family down with them.

Joseph Prave and his wife Diane were picked up Monday night at their home in Johnstown's West End.

They have been accused of operating a family run crack cocaine business.

The Cambria County Drug Task Force said they have been tracking this family through undercover drug buys inside their home on Chandler Avenue.

The Prave's were arraigned in court Tuesday.

Charges for both of them include delivering crack cocaine.

They are both in the Cambria County Jail.

District Attorney Kelly Callihan said these cases are creating some shocking statistics.

"This is a disturbing trend that we've seen here recently in Cambria County. This particular situation involves a mother, a father, a son and his girlfriend," said Callihan.

Police have felony fugitive warrants for Joe and Diane's son Joseph and his girlfriend Nissa Rashid, both of Johnstown.

Investigators said they were last seen near Soap Hollow Road in Somerset County.

They were reportedly driving a purple, 4-door, Dodge Intrepid with a PA license HFE3412.
