Agents raid alleged drug dealer's home in Pleasant Gap

By Bill Wadell

PLEASANT GAP, Pa. —

Authorities in Centre County confirmed that Harrison Road was shut down while attorney general's narcotics agents raided a home and took a man into custody on felony drug charges Tuesday afternoon.

The criminal complaint lists the man with aliases including "Max" and "Elijah Moorer," but investigators said they aren't sure of his legal name or date of birth. He is currently in the Centre County Jail as "John Doe" with bail set at $750,000.

Agent James Walstrom told 6 News that he could not comment about anything being seized from the home during the raid, but court documents accuse the man of selling hundreds of dollars' worth of heroin and cocaine to a criminal informant in State College and Pleasant Gap four times since July.

Neighbors who live near the home that was raided told 6 News they didn't even realize a drug raid happened or notice any suspicious activity at the home.

"Here in Pleasant Gap, we've always been able to be almost a family community. This is a great place to raise your family," said Tammy St. Clair. "If this neighborhood isn't safe, what's going on in other little neighborhoods that we don't know about? It's scary because there is so much that faces our kids today."
